Explanation of nickname: At the first game I played in I couldn't think of a nickname quick enough but my Dad started cheering for HR when went up for my at bats. I thought it would work well with the irony that not many home runs actually get hit in vintage ball. I also thought of it as short for High Roller, Hot Rod, and Hammering Rover.

How became involved with vintage base ball: The team was a bit shorthanded and looking for help and Ted "Old Dog" Mueller, who knew me from his church softball team, invited me to come out and play a game against the Deltons. Playing baseball through little league and high school and always enjoying playing sports as I love the competition and staying active, I could not resist coming back for more.
